The Nigerian entertainment industry is in a state of mourning and rage following the gruesome attack on residents of Angwan Rukuba, Jos North, on Palm Sunday, March 29, 2026. With at least 28 lives confirmed lost and many others injured, celebrities—many of whom have deep roots in the Tin City—have taken to social media to demand justice and express their heartbreak.

The attack, which occurred as worshippers were returning from church, has sparked a fresh wave of "enough is enough" from the country's most influential voices.

For Peter Okoye (P-Square) and rapper Jesse Jagz, the news hit especially close to home, as both stars grew up in Jos.

• Peter Okoye shared a somber post on X (formerly Twitter), stating: “My heart is heavy… My prayers are with my people in Jos. God please comfort every grieving family.”

• Jesse Jagz took a more reflective and spiritual tone, calling for divine intervention: “Prayers up for Jos… May God heal our land and comfort His people.”

Mr Macaroni and Vector Demand Accountability

Known for his consistent activism, Mr Macaroni did not mince words, calling out the leadership for what he described as "zero accountability."

“Zero accountability, zero responsibility… Nigerians keep dying and those in power act like nothing is happening. It is unbearably heart-wrenching,” Macaroni posted.

Rapper Vector echoed this frustration, questioning the repetitive nature of these tragedies: “How many times will we keep saying rest in peace? When does the protection of lives actually become a priority?”

Bolanle Ninalowo: “I Choose to be a Voice for the People”

Nollywood star Bolanle Ninalowo also broke his silence with a powerful message, stating that he is distancing himself from political affiliations to stand solely with the suffering masses. “The tragic events in Jos broke my heart. I choose to be a voice for the people, not for any government. I cannot stand by and watch people suffer,” Ninalowo declared.

A Pattern of Grief

Other stars like Jaywon and DJ Neptune also joined the outcry. Jaywon lamented the state of the nation, tweeting, “This country keeps testing our faith. How do we keep explaining these killings over and over again?” while Neptune simply asked, “Another sad day for Nigeria… when does it end?”

As the Plateau State Government imposes a 48-hour curfew to restore order, the entertainment community remains united in a singular demand: Security for all Nigerians.
