The Adeleke-Momodu family feud has just hit a whole new level of "Gbas Gbos."
Just as the veteran publisher and media mogul Dele Momodu was trying to calm the waters on social media, superstar Davido has sent a clear message: He’s not interested.
The Unfollow Heard 'Round the World
Eagle-eyed fans noticed today, Friday, February 20, 2026, that Davido has officially unfollowed Dele Momodu on Instagram. This move comes less than 24 hours after Uncle Dele took to his own page to tell fans that everything was being handled "behind the scenes."
"Working Behind the Scenes?" Davido Says NO!
While in Liberia to offer condolences to former VP Jewel Howard-Taylor, Dele Momodu posted a reassuring message to fans who were begging him to settle the fight between Davido and his niece, Sophia Momodu.
"Nothing to worry about. Everything is going to be alright... We are working behind the scenes. Pls, keep everyone in your prayers," Momodu wrote.
But it seems Davido wasn't consulted on this "peace mission." Sources close to the singer say he is still livid over the recent courtroom drama where Sophia’s lawyers reportedly mentioned his late son, Ifeanyi, during the custody battle. By unfollowng Dele Momodu, Davido is effectively shutting down any narrative that he is ready to play nice.
The History of "Uncle Dele" and Davido
This isn't the first time Davido and the Ovation boss have clashed. Remember the 2015 "Baby Abduction" saga? That's when we got the legendary line: "Mr. Dele na my boy, Dele na my boy" from the song 'Bahd Baddo Baddest'.
They reconciled in 2017 at the Ovation Red Carol, but this 2026 fallout feels much more personal. With the custody case officially withdrawn and the bridge with Dele Momodu now on fire, Davido seems focused on one thing: Protecting his peace and his legacy.
