The Nigerian internet is currently in a state of shock, anger, and total confusion. What started as a social media "clash of titans" has turned into one of the most dangerous and messy scandals of 2026.

Popular philanthropist and content creator Mukoro Ereremena Michelle, known as King Mitchy, is at the center of a storm after allegedly consuming a substance believed to be Hypo bleach during a TikTok Live session over the weekend.

The Feud That Led to the "Sniper" Stunt

It all began with a heated back-and-forth between King Mitchy and activist VeryDarkMan (VDM). VDM accused the influencer of being a "political pawn" for the Seyi Tinubu (son of President Bola Tinubu) administration to launder their image through her NGO projects.

Tensions boiled over when VDM alleged that King Mitchy’s recent "6-day school renovation" was a lie. Distressed by the bullying and the loss of her business Instagram account, Mitchy took to TikTok Live, where she was seen drinking what appeared to be bleach while crying.

The "Fake Death" and the Hospital's Legal Threat

Hours after the live stream, a post appeared on King Mitchy’s page claiming she had passed away at Prime Care Hospital in Abuja.

However, the "death" was short-lived. In a shocking twist:

• Prime Care Hospital released a disclaimer stating Mitchy was NEVER a patient there and threatened legal action for the "misinformation."

• Mitchy’s management quickly made a U-turn, editing the post to say, "Michelle is okay now."

Hypo (Multipro Enterprise) Issues Official Warning

The manufacturers of Hypo Bleach have officially stepped in to de-escalate the dangerous trend. In a public statement issued on Monday, March 2, 2026, they warned:

"Hypo is not a drink. We urge the public to desist from using our products for social media challenges or life-threatening stunts."

Seyi Tinubu and Ijebu React

Even Seyi Tinubu has been forced to break his silence, clarifying that his support for Mitchy was strictly for her NGO and that he has no part in the "messy battle." Meanwhile, Nollywood actor Ijebu and several other celebrities are calling for King Mitchy’s arrest, arguing that "faking death" for clout is a crime that misleads the public and wastes emergency resources.
