The 9th AFRIMA Awards went down at the Eko Convention Centre in Lagos, and it quickly turned into a "Rema Thanksgiving Service."
While everyone was expecting a tight race, the Calm Down crooner didn't just win; he literally cleared the table, winning Artiste of the Year, Best Male Artiste in West Africa, and Best R&B/Soul Artiste.

The real highlight that has everyone talking on Twitter (X) today is Rema’s acceptance speech. He didn't come to play! He reminded the audience that he has been consistent since he was a teenager.
He also gave a "senior" advice to other African stars, telling them to stop chasing international validation and start supporting our own "utilities" like AFRIMA and the Headies. No be lie o!
